Money Lessons for Preschoolers

There are few things that affect our lives on a daily basis like money does. Children mimic the financial transactions of daily life in their play by pretending to shop and sell when they dramatize a grocery store, clothing shop, or another market of interest. Sometimes it’s just fun for children to tinker with the toy cash register. All of these instances make teachable money moments easy to come by. Using Fabric for Fabulous Pretend Play

As providers, it’s important to teach children about the world around us. However, it is not always realistic for us to think that all children will feel icy cold snow, step in the ocean, or experience a jungle safari. That means it’s up to providers to give children a taste of the elements and experience cultures outside of their own. One great (and fairly inexpensive!) way to do this is to raid the fabric aisle at your local craft store.
